Ministry of transports begins online compulsory registration of commercial vehicles

The Anambra State Ministry of Transport has commenced with the compulsory registration and online management of all commercial vehicles including Motorcycles operating in the State through the Anambra State Transport Management Code.


The registration exercise which took place at the Motorcycle Transport Union of Nigerian office, Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government Area is scheduled to last for four weeks is in line with directives of Governor Willie Obiano to that effect.


A press release signed by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of transport, Dr Eman Udeakpe stated that the registration is for all commercial motorcyclists in the state.


The release urged all commercial motorcyclists in Anambra State to take the registration through the Anambra State transport management code serious because it is mandatory.


It further reads that failure to comply with the registration exercise within the stipulated time will be severely dealt with in accordance with the law.


The release advised all commercial motorcyclists in Anambra State to comply accordingly.
