Over 250 persons at Njaba local government area of Imo State, have been taken out of poverty courtesy of Igolo Njaba charitable foundation.

The Coordinator, Igolo Njaba Foundation, Okudor ward, Engr. Prosper Ikejiaku, disclosed this cheering tidings to our reporter during an interview on Sunday at Okudor community on the occasion of the female lawmaker’s birthday remembrance.

He said the empowerment items given to over 250 persons by the member who represents Njaba State Constituency in Imo Assembly, Rt Hon Amb Uju Onwudiwe, will go a long way to assisting the beneficiaries to cushion poverty as well as reduce insecurity especially when used judiciously.

Recounting the empowerment items to include Amaco cutter, vehicles, motorcycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, hairdressing equipments (dryer), wheelchairs, including rice, Ikejiaku commended the Chairman of Igolo Njaba Foundation, Amb Uju Onwudiwe for empowering her constituents, as well as giving them hope for security and comfort.

According to Ikejiaku, “Igolo Njaba has done marvelously, having been in the position of doing good to people since she started representing Njaba State Constituency in Imo Assembly. The feat is highly commendable- she will continue to excel”.

Adding his voice, Chief Anthony Nwabuike Ofor, a member of Eze-in- Council, Okudor autonomous community, said Njaba people have directly or indirectly benefited from Igolo Njaba’s good representation as he urged her to keep the tempo.
